Elise Frank
Born on January 1st, 1996, in Tarbes, Élise Lounici—now known as Elise FRANK—forged her musical identity between the songwriting of her teenage years and the energy of the band Spooky Poppies. It was during the Covid crisis that she refined her solo style, turning her bedroom into a laboratory to reconnect with a raw, unfiltered sincerity. Her bold, unvarnished sound fuses deep blues with the garage rock of the 90s and 2000s. Partnering with Cristal Production in 2022, she returned to the stage as a power trio and fulfilled a childhood dream by touring Ireland, a land synonymous with live music.
In 2023, she released her debut self-produced album, I’m a Phony and a Fraud. The success was immediate: praised by Rock & Folk magazine, she joined major events like Cognac Blues Passions alongside Buddy Guy and supported artists such as Robert Finley and Delgres. Her rise accelerated in 2024 with a standout performance at the Rory Gallagher Festival and her entry into the Encyclopédie du Rock en France. She also composed the original soundtrack for the documentary Targuia.
2025 marked an international turning point: she signed with Ruf Records, officially adopted the name Elise FRANK, and released the album I Didn’t Pay For It with guitarist Laura Chavez. Now a fixture on the scene, she tours throughout Europe and has established herself on German stages as part of the 2026 Blues Caravan, cementing her status as an ambassador of authentic and soulful blues.
