At just 20 years old, the young Belgian artist is building his life as a work of art, between music, fashion and photography. With his arty dandy look, his bowl cut and his disjointed pop melodies, Pierre de Maere is both in perfect tune with the times and right out of the ordinary. The self-taught artist from Brussels belongs to a generation that doesn’t want to be bogged down by labels. He composes at the piano and the computer just like we would concoct a cocktail, adjusting the proportions and trying out bold combinations. Just like his idols – Stromae, David Bowie, Lady Gaga and others – we can already see that unique personality with the power to reinvent himself whenever it takes his fancy.
