Last week, Laylow announced the cancellation of his tour to focus on his new album. The Montreux Jazz Festival was committed to finding an artistic alternative that resonated with Yseult’s universe, as she was scheduled to open the show. When the opportunity arose to invite Grace Jones, the choice was clear. The result promises to be captivating: two generations of bold female artists united by their shared love of breaking boundaries and defying musical genres.

GRACE JONES RETURNS FOR HER FOURTH CONCERT IN MONTREUX

Avant-garde singer, fashion icon, Bond girl and Andy Warhol muse — Grace Jones’s life is a true work of art. Her versatile discography pushes the limits of disco, pop, R&B, reggae and new wave. On stage, her deep voice and striking presence radiate a unique energy — glamorous, radical and androgynous. Eight years after her legendary performance at the Stravinski Auditorium, Grace Jones is finally returning to Montreux.

YSEULT’S BOLD ARTISTIC TURN

Long known for her haunting ballads, French singer Yseult takes a daring leap with Mental — a raw, visceral punk-rock album sung mostly in English. Last year, she became the most-listened-to French-speaking female artist in the world on Spotify, thanks to the hit single Alibi, featuring Sevdaliza and Pabllo Vittar. She also made a powerful impression with her performance at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games.
