Yvan Genkins

Yvan Genkins, a Swiss DJ and producer, has been passionate about electronic music since the mid-90s, with notable beginnings in the club scene in Germany, particularly during the golden age of Tresor in Berlin. Upon returning to Switzerland, he built a solid reputation by performing at key events and venues such as the Polaris Festival, the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Afterseason Festival, Nordstern, D! Club, and Supermarket.

In December 2023, he opened the Heat Club in Sion, where he has already invited renowned artists such as Fleur Shore, Sirus Hood, Manda Moor, Alan Fitzpatrick, Darius Syrossian, and many other big names in the electronic scene.

His style, a “tech-house” infused with old-school influences, stands out for its energetic sets featuring funky grooves and hypnotic basslines, designed to captivate even the most discerning audiences. In production, Yvan draws inspiration from various styles such as funk, disco, and soul, and has released tracks on prestigious labels like Relief Records by Green Velvet, DFTD, Defected, Sola Records by Solardo, Kaluki, as well as Suara, Truesoul, Snatch!, 8bit, and Saved. More recently, he signed with his friend Mendo on the renowned Hot Creations label by Jamie Jones, with a release scheduled for December 2024.

Recognized for his expertise, Yvan often collaborates with Mendo from Clarisse Records. Together, they have held several prestigious residencies with Clarisse Records around the world. Their productions, as well as Yvan’s solo work, are supported by icons of electronic music such as Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, and Loco Dice.
