Yebba
Originally from Arkansas, Yebba shaped her voice in the church, deeply rooted in gospel. For nearly a decade, she has built an impressive track record of collaborations with major artists across pop, R&B, jazz, and hip-hop, including Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, A$AP Rocky, Robert Glasper, Stormzy, and A Tribe Called Quest. In 2021, Drake even named a track on Certified Lover Boy after her: “Yebba’s Heartbreak.” Five years after her debut album, produced by Mark Ronson, she returns this year with her highly anticipated second album, Jean. A tribute to her grandmother, the record draws on the musical traditions of the American South, blending gospel, blues, and folk with more contemporary textures.
