Since their founding in 2011 in Michigan, these undisputed masters of groove have sparked enormous excitement among funk and jazz enthusiasts. The fiercely independent Vulfpeck has crafted a distinct sound and visual identity, blending technical skill with playful humor in a series of homemade videos. Rather than focusing on solos, the group carefully constructs irresistible grooves that give each instrument its moment to shine. The track “Dean Town”, now a 21st-century bass standard, is a prime example of this. On stage, Vulfpeck turns every concert into a memorable experience. The collective, who are rarely seen on European stages, made their Swiss debut in 2024 on the Lake Stage, in a night full of surprises: a musician popping up on a nearby balcony, a spontaneous collaboration with Marc Rebillet, and a jam session that went on until the early hours.
