Ragz
Ragz is an LA-based DJ and producer and the co-founder of Naya Beat Records. Described as the South Asian answer to Habibi Funk, LA-based Naya Beat uncovers dance and electronic music from the subcontinent and diaspora through reissues, compilations, remixes, and new releases. Known for their eclectic selection of South Asian-leaning international house and disco, Naya Beat have brought their sound to some of the world’s headiest clubs and festivals including Good Room (NY), Night Tale’s Loft (London), Wonderfruit, Dialled-In and appeared on Apple Music’s Beats in Space, NTS, dublab, and KCRW. A favourite with the likes of Radio Slave, Nu Genea, Gilles Peterson, Peggy Gou, Palms Trax, Tim Sweeney, CC:Disco, and Colleen Murphy, Naya Beat’s music has received critical praise from Pitchfork, the Guardian, RA, Mixmag, DJ Mag, and The Vinyl Factory.
