Peneløpe
The Geneva-born, Berlin-based artist Peneløpe, formerly known as al dente, has been mixing since 2021. More than a new name, Peneløpe reflects an evolution of her artistic identity — a more honest and instinctive approach to music, where she allows herself to blend genres freely and follow the sounds she truly connects with.
Having lived between Zurich, Amsterdam, and Berlin, she has developed a rich understanding of the underground scene, shaping a sound that moves between hard and acid house with strong 90’s oldschool influences to a raw techno, with hypnotic resonances.
With a background in architecture, she approaches each set as a space built layer by layer, where rhythm becomes structure and texture becomes material. Her sets can unfold as deep, raw and hypnotic techno journeys or as house-driven selections with unexpected twists — in both cases guided by a strong sense of construction and balance. Rather than being tied to a single genre, she explores connections between sounds and eras, letting spontaneity and emotion shape each performance.
Inspired by artists such as Steffi and Dr. Rubinstein, Peneløpe is deeply influenced by the energy and freedom of 90s house and acid. Drawn to hypnotic grooves and genre-blending atmospheres, she embraces versatility and spontaneity as central elements of her artistic identity.
Over the past years, she has steadily carved out her place within the Swiss and European underground scene, performing in renowned venues. Her journey has brought her to clubs such as Le Zoo and Motel Campo in Geneva, Case à Chocs in Neuchâtel, as well as Lockschuppen and VOID Club in Berlin, sharing line-ups with internationally recognized artists.
