Nilusi

Nilusi is a 25-year-old French-Sri Lankan artist, songwriter, and filmmaker who tells stories through music and film, blending identity, cultural duality, and authenticity. She first stepped into the spotlight as a teenager, performing in arenas and selling over 2.5 million physical albums as part of a successful French pop group. Today, she walks her path as a fully independent artist, with her own label and production company, giving her complete creative freedom across every aspect of her vision. Her debut solo album Lettre à l’univers is a self-produced project that blends soul, R&B, jazz, pop, traditional South Asian influences, and French language and culture. The single Tereketena, inspired by her Sri Lankan roots, was recently spotlighted by Timbaland. The album explores themes like healing, heritage, and emotional truth, reflecting her path as a young woman navigating two cultures. Leave a Message, filmed in a lotus lake surrounded by across platforms. Beyond music, she is currently writing, directing, producing, and starring in her first feature film, NARA, shot in Sri Lanka. She will also be featured in the upcoming Vogue India issue, spotlighting South Asian artists shaping the future of sound.
