Creative, daring and avant-garde, Ngoc Lan transcends musical genres by using three key resources: her unique and eclectic record collection, her infectious enthusiasm and her technical skill.

Born in Switzerland with a dual Vietnamese culture, Ngoc Lan began her musical journey as a child, taking piano and opera lessons at the Conservatoire de Musique. Her departure for New York in 2002 acted as a trigger: Ngoc Lan worked for several months with the famous hip hop label Rawkus and rubbed shoulders with the greatest beatmakers and rappers of the east-coast scene. Back in Switzerland, she acquired new weapons: two turntables, a mixer and a vinyl collection. Hip hop, beats, house, electronica: a wide and sharp palette reflecting her already highly developed musical culture.
