Moon Dog

Moon Dog

Moon Dog, the fourth novel by Lausanne-based author Thomas Lécuyer, will be released on May 22, 2026

1961 – The Soul Keys set out from Memphis on the American highways for the tour that could finally make them famous. But on their bus, a secret accompanies them: a shipment of heroin destined for the Las Vegas mafia.

Amid feverish concerts, betrayals, and a cross-country chase, the band finds itself trapped in a deal that could destroy everything. A breathless road trip, pulsing with music and suspense, coupled with a thrilling immersion in the heat of American soul music.

Moon Dog is the second installment in a trilogy of novels exploring the history of African-American music, launched in 2022 with Moon Lake. The novels can be read independently, even though some characters recur.
