MARO
Portuguese singer MARO grounds her music in a sensitivity inherited from fado, which she reinvents with a modern approach, blending pop, folk and soul. In 2020, she created one of the most beautiful musical projects of the lockdown period: in a series of videos titled “It’s a me, Maro”, she performs in remote duets with an impressively diverse lineup, from Laufey to Eric Clapton, including Charlotte Cardin, Naïka and Alfredo Rodriguez. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music and a finalist at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022, the Lisbon-born artist continues to pursue a deeply sincere artistic path. Having already performed in Montreux as a member of Jacob Collier’s band in 2019, she will perform this summer as the opening act for Sting.
