In 1983, Keith Haring signed a triptych of posters for the Montreux Jazz Festival that have become emblematic. Present on the Riviera for the 17th edition of the MJF, the New York artist was not content to simply mark the event with his visuals: he also took over the Casino stage. Carried along by the rhythms of Pino Daniele and Ney Matogrosso, Haring accompanied the musical performances by creating, live, imposing paintings on the panels set up alongside the musicians. This talk reveals never-before-seen images of these rare moments, when the drawings were created LIVE, in a vibrant fusion with the music.
