Lass

First of all, his voice. A voice that shines like a firework when he sings on electro, house, ragga, afropop productions… A voice that also heals, singing celestial melodies with sweetness. A voice of a rare elegance in any case, which one inevitably remembers. Lass reconciles the secular heritage of the great African singers and the dazzling style of the rappers. Senegalese by birth, he learned music at a very young age, watching Omar Pene or Ismael Lo perform in Youssou Ndour’s Dakar club. After his first singles recorded in the Daara J studios, he almost gave up music when he arrived in France. But his artistic nature is not so easily extinguished and, settled near Lyon for a few years, Lass has become one of the pillars of the famous Voilaa project of Bruno Patchwork. He also sings in front of sold-out zeniths with Synapson, an electro duo for whom he has signed two notorious singles: “Souba” and the recent “Toujours” released in the fall of 2020. Lass is currently working on his first album and recording other collaborations with French and international artists he met during festivals.
