French chanson, electro beats or delicate piano melodies: at 21 years old, Iliona thrives on all this. As a teenager, the Brussels-born girl was weighed down by melancholy and composed the beautiful piano-vocal “Moins Joli”, posted from her room one evening in July. Her new album Tête Brûlée shows a sunnier side. By her own admission, Iliona gets bored when listening to an album when the tracks all sound the same. So she lets herself be guided by her instinct, from autotuned ballads (“Reste”) to sixties inspirations (“Si tu m’aimes demain”), always with this same touching sincerity. The mark of a great artist.
