GREMS

A product of the bap boom of the 2000s and a member of the cult groups Hustla and Rouge à Lèvres (with Disiz), he has released 11 solo albums, penned over 400 tracks and given 1,000 concerts around the world. With his unique flow, invented language and uncompromising aesthetic, GREMS is a UFO, always ahead of his time. He has collaborated with international artists like Foreign Beggars, Wildchild and Big Red, as well as producers like Opolopo, Machinedrum and Simbad, and explored genres like grime, broken beat and deep house. The first to fuse rap and house in France back in 2003 with the deepkho style, GREMS is also a renowned visual artist www.gremsindustry.com. His work bridges the gap between rap, club music and contemporary art. In 2025, after an anniversary tour marking 25 years in the music business, he took a new turn with a radical jazz-rap EP, ‘La saison des bombes’, on which flow became the main rhythm. An album is planned for the autumn. On stage, he’ll be forming an experimental trio with Rose Kid (piano, vocals) and Nxquantize (loop station, percussion), somewhere between rhythmic slam, free jazz and raw poetry.
