Freddy K

Freddy K, real name Alessio Armeni, is a Berlin-based techno activist. An emblematic figure on the scene since the 90s, he is renowned for his marathon DJ sets, his love of vinyl and his constant support for the younger generation. Founder of the KEY Vinyl label and co-founder of the now-defunct M_Rec, he left his mark on the Italian techno scene with the Virus programme in Rome, then by working at Remix, an influential record shop. He helped launch artists such as Donato Dozzy and Giorgio Gigli via Elettronica Romana. Based in Berlin since 2009, he has made a name for himself with his epic sets at Homopatik and Berghain, playing exclusively vinyl in a fluid, unpredictable style that always serves the party.
