Ezra Collective

Few bands in British music carry the weight of community, culture and craft quite like Ezra Collective. Five musicians who grew up together, aged together, and have over a decade documenting that shared life in sound. Rooted in jazz but never confined by it, Ezra Collective became a living argument that jazz could be joyful, urgent and entirely relevant, blending afrobeat, hip-hop, dub, salsa or house music. The first jazz group to win the Mercury Prize before being crowned Group of the Year at the BRIT Awards, they have also collaborated with Fred again.., Olivia Dean, Sampa the Great and Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso. Returning to Montreux, Ezra Collective previously left a lasting impression during Quincy Jones’ birthday celebration alongside Jorja Smith in 2018, before making a memorable return at the Casino stage last summer.
