Elina Duni & Rob Luft
As part of the 60th edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation is pleased to welcome Albanian-Swiss singer Elina Duni and British guitarist Rob Luft—winner of the 2016 Guitar Competition—to this celebration. The two met the following year at the Montreux Jazz Academy.
Elina Duni – Vocals and Percussion / Rob Luft – Guitar and Electronics
In 2017, Elina Duni and Rob Luft crossed paths at the Montreux Jazz Festival, marking the beginning of a unique project. Since then, they have toured the world and released two critically acclaimed albums on ECM Records, performing as a quartet. Their new album, a stripped-down duo project, revisits the very essence of their first encounter.
Here, we discover the understated beauty of Elina Duni’s voice blending with Rob Luft’s crystalline guitar lines in an enchanting dance. Together, they weave a tapestry of songs that evoke the mystery and joy of the night, the moon, and the magic that lives within each of us.
Contemplative, almost meditative music. Music that soothes, envelops, and touches without ever imposing itself. Like a caress. Like a lullaby.
