Angela is a leading figure in Cuban salsa in French-speaking Switzerland. Co-founder of Salsamas and an experienced teacher, she has taught in Fribourg, Bern, Geneva and Lausanne. Founder of the Las Locas group, three-time Swiss casino rueda champions, she combines rigour, creativity and team spirit. In her classes, she transmits a culture and a joie de vivre as much as a technique, appealing to beginners and experienced dancers alike.
DJ Fouzi, co-founder of Salsamas, is a mainstay of salsa nights in French-speaking Switzerland. A specialist in timba, son cubano and Cuban salsa, he gets the dancefloor buzzing with his fine selection of music and his energy. Present in clubs, festivals and open-airs, he creates festive and authentic atmospheres.
Founded in 2016, Salsamas is Lausanne’s most active association for the promotion of Cuban culture. It organises major events such as open-airs at the Pyramides de Vidy, parties at La Galicienne and the Casino de Montbenon, and the annual La Spéciale festival.
