DoomCannon is the alter ego of London composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Dominic Canning. After forging his craft in the inspirational bands TriForce and Project Karnak, the prolific South Londoner is ready to step into the spotlight with his debut solo album. A proud alumnus of jazz music education and artist development institutions Kinetika Bloco and Tomorrow’s Warriors, DoomCannon distills the wisdom of the ancients, while taking the time to give to the next generation, as he prepares to leave his own indelible mark on the musical landscape. DoomCannon’s soundscape is a synthesis of lessons gleaned from his forays into hip hop and free jazz, his musical adventures in Brazil and his experiences as a young black man growing up in London.
