Born in 1997, Dana Burkhard grew up in a musical family and started playing music with her brother Joël at a young age. She began singing lessons at 11, taught herself guitar, and discovered songwriting as a way to process emotions. Her lyrics reflect radical honesty, touching on trauma, feminism, and emotional growth. At 16, she financed her first EP by working at Subway and performing around Biel. After studying pop vocals in London and Zurich, she worked as a backing singer for artists like Stormzy and Rag’n’Bone Man before focusing on her solo career. Her debut album Future Daughters (2022) earned critical acclaim and the SRF3 Best Talent award. In 2023, she toured major festivals and opened for Jessie J. In 2024, she released her second album Teary-Eyed and went on her first headline tour. Dana is also a dedicated co-writer for artists such as Remo Forrer, Linda Elys, Luca Hänni, and more.
