The SWISS Band is a Swiss orchestra known for its wide musical range. Their repertoire includes swing, rock, pop, soul, funk, film and musical themes, as well as current chart hits. For years, they have captivated audiences in Switzerland and abroad through numerous concerts and appearances on radio and television. The SWISS Band regularly performs with renowned guest artists. Notable names include Bill Ramsey, Hugo Strasser, Peter Reber, Pepe Lienhard, Hazy Osterwald, Carlo Brunner, Dani Felber, Marie Louise Werth, Valerie Scott, Bruno Dietrich, Isaac Roosevelt, Sandee, and Jasse Ritch. The band was awarded the “Prix Walo” on May 12, 2013. Founded in 1958 by Swissair employees under the name “Swissair Musik,” the orchestra has been known as “SWISS Band – Concert Band of Swiss International Air Lines” since June 2002, or simply “SWISS Band.”
