Following the 2023 viral success of his single “Beanie,” Alejandro Sanchez—known as Chezile—experienced a whirlwind transformation, moving from homelessness in Los Angeles to international recognition. The Albuquerque-born multi-instrumentalist, now based in San Diego, explores his roots and childhood memories on his new EP, Alē. While his previous project, 47, was defined by melancholia, Alē offers a warmer, more introspective sound as he grapples with balancing music industry pressures with his “inner child.” Through tracks like “Wya” and “Hotel,” Chezile offers a sincere meditation on fame and authenticity, striving to inspire others from humble beginnings to realize their own potential.
