The winner of 11 Grammy Awards and an essential icon of the American scene, Brandi Carlile has been exploring the boundaries of folk, rock and Americana for twenty years. Renowned for her songwriting and her powerful and versatile voice, she first came to the attention of the general public with The Story in 2007, popularised in particular by the series Grey’s Anatomy and later revisited by Dolly Parton. Her seventh album, released in 2021, won three Grammy Awards, including two in the rock categories for the song Broken Horses. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with Alicia Keys, Sam Smith, Miley Cyrus, Noah Kahan and of course, her absolute idol, Elton John. Last year, the latter presented her with a big challenge: to record an entire album together. Released on 4 April , Who Believes in Angels? marks the culmination of their musical friendship and confirms Carlile at the top of her game. This summer, she will perform for the first time in Montreux.
