Ludivine Issambourg
Ludivine Issambourg has been one of France’s most acclaimed flutists, composers, and producers for nearly 15 years, and her talent has captivated artists such as Wax Tailor, Eric Legnini, Chassol, Nils Landgren, Cut Killer, Christian Escoudé, Bluey of Incognito, Catherine Ringer, Angélique Kidjo, and others.
Ludivine presents “Above The Laws,” the long-awaited follow-up to her album “Outlaws,” a tribute to the jazz-funk era—specifically the CTI period—of Hubert Laws. This time, she explores other legendary flutists (Jeremy Steig, Ronald Snijders, Bobby Humphrey, Dave Valentin), drawing inspiration from a broader spectrum of soul and groove (Gil Scott-Heron, Incognito, Snarky Puppies) with exceptional compositions and collaborations featuring Brian Jackson, Nils Landgren, Eric Legnini, Laurent de Wilde, and Wolfgang Valbrun. An album acclaimed by critics and audiences alike, which is even more thrilling on stage when Ludivine performs it with her unstoppable jazz-funk sextet!
And since January 2025, a genuine collaboration has developed between the famous French jazz-funk flutist and the iconic Brian Jackson, former collaborator of Gil Scott-Heron. Brian is joining Ludivine’s tours more and more often, extending their on-stage chemistry and notably including a tribute to Gil Scott-Heron in Ludivine’s show. They are even working together on an album of original compositions set for release in 2026…
