TeddyBear
He is only 24 years old, and yet his voice speaks volumes more than his age. It tells the story of the human soul in its most galvanizing, troubling, melancholy, and disturbing aspects. Through his songs, TeddyBear brushes portraits of what he observes and hears, often in the first person, to speak to us as close as a whisper in the ear. Because he already carries a dense history within him.
Born and raised in Mons, from a family of musicians of Sicilian origin, he first followed the path traced by his father, that of the drums. He cut his teeth by accompanying other artists with his rhythms. But when several deaths struck those around him, inhabited by the feeling that death was lurking, the future TeddyBear put his malaise onto paper. And he fully exorcised it one evening in 2023, in the depths of Flanders, when he had to replace a rapper friend at a moment’s notice. An epiphanic performance: since then, he has never let go of the voice.
He, who loves the visceral song of Jacques Brel as much as the daring jazz of Yussef Dayes, embodies his lyrics like no one else. Which he carries with his powerful timbre in the studio but especially on stage. It is therefore no coincidence if, won over, Puggy, Clara Luciani, Feu! Chatterton or Julien Doré asked him to support their opening acts.
