For his ninth concert in Montreux, Sting will perform as a power trio, accompanied by his longtime guitarist Dominic Miller and dynamic drummer Chris Maas. His live album STING 3.0 was recorded on a recent leg of this world tour and features many of Sting’s greatest hits captured in this exciting new format. Ever in pursuit of new musical challenges, Sting recently collaborated with the Argentine duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso. Sting’s concerts at the Montreux Jazz Festival have always carried a singular magic, reflecting a vision of music that knows no boundaries or genres. In 2016, he declared: “In Montreux, I feel a kinship with the greater community of musicians. My music is carefully arranged, but there is still enough of the jazzman in me to allow for improvisation.”
