Brittany Howard

Swiss exclusivity

As part of the Alabama Shakes, one of the most iconic bands of the last decade (four Grammy Awards), the tornado that is Brittany Howard tore down the house at her Montreux concerts. Always at ease with gospel, blues and soul, Brittany takes things even further on her solo albums. After Jaime, the healing tribute to her sister who died when they were teenagers, she released What Now earlier this year. The critically acclaimed album demonstrates her ability to explore different styles, registers and textures with equal intensity. The eponymous title track is a kind of edgy, dark and danceable funk. Her fiery voice will be roaring to life at the Casino this summer, the venue where Nina Simone played her famous 1976 concert. A performance that Brittany says she “watched so much it almost broke YouTube“.
