Sally

Marion was born in Djibouti. A year and two weeks later, her French family welcomed her to the countryside in Maine-et-Loire. At home, the pop hits of the moment were her parents’ predilections, her brother introduced her to French rap and she, from secondary school, immersed herself in American hip hop, from Kid Cudi to M.I.A.

Being an artist was a distant dream. At 17, the diagnosis of her bipolarity changed her life forever. As a new beginning for Marion, she decided to focus on her talent, singing. She started with covers of Jorja Smith or Lana del Rey that she posted on Instagram from autumn 2017, these raised the attention of Lord Esperanza and Marion became Sally (in a nod to the Sally Bollywood cartoon), who signed on the Paramour label.
