Bearing traces of 1970’s Anatolian folk,rock, Telli Davul take their name from a colloquial term once used for the bass guitar in old-Istanbul orchestras. Muaz Ceyhan on vocals, bowed tambur and caglame, Maya Muz on keyboards, Danae Palaka on drums, founded and directed by Özer Ateş on bass, the group interprets the traditional music of Anatolia, blended with disco, psychedelic, funk and jazz elements into their performances.
