Patrick Watson

Since his grandiose concert at the Montreux Jazz Lab in 2013, the indie pop genius has released two sumptuous albums (Love Songs for Robots and Wave), written a film score, and also worked with Leonard Cohen on one of his last songs before the legend passed away. This experience had a profound influence on the way he writes lyrics and the possibilities of poetry in song. The collaboration influenced his vocal delivery to be more dry, to have less notes and to simply deliver the words. The Canadian’s latest singles, including the touching “Lost With You”, take us further into his poetic universe, through moving melodies and refined orchestrations.
