Paris-based producer, writer and vocalist Oklou combines low-key pop grandeur with an offbeat experimental curiosity and emotionally-charged lyricism. Her mixtape Galore, released in the fall of 2020, is her first bold statement. Set to evocative electronic soundscapes, the record is introspective and honest, bringing up Marylou Mayniel’s great loneliness, her desires and the painful revelations which precede a new start. The release follows a series of short form projects and singles with Mura Masa, Sega Bodega, Chynna, Nuxxe and Flavien Berger.
