Mirlaqi’s credo says it all: his art is a subtle blend of deep musicality and powerful groove. Whether through a DJ set or a live performance combining drum machines and keyboards, the Swiss producer invites you on a delightful expedition through the many variations of dance music: house and disco, embellished with touches of techno, African influences, and jazz nuances. After playing keyboards and saxophone in several rock and reggae bands, Mirlaqi turned to electronic music, moved by the power of house. Since then, he has composed several live sets and mastered the art of DJing, which has led him to perform at the biggest Swiss festivals, such as Montreux Jazz, as well as internationally, with appearances in New York, Paris, Detroit, Lyon, and Albania. With EPs released around the world and the launch of his own label, Wise Bird, Mirlaqi continues to develop his signature, positively offbeat sound.
