Mind Enterprises celebrates Italo disco as if the 1980s never ended. It’s fiercely joyous music, drenched in retro synths, which Turin-based producer Andrea Tirone and his partner Roberto Conigliaro resurrect with splashes of electro and acid house beats. The duo wear kitsch like a badge of honour, and it works brilliantly. Their hit song Idol has been sampled by Kungs, their DJ sets filmed from their balcony have gone viral, and their gigs have set clubs and festivals alight, delivering pure dancefloor energy every time.
