In a Landscape & The Blue Notebooks

Composer, pianist, producer and remixer, Max Richter is one of the most prolific and fascinating musicians of his generation. Drawing inspiration from Bach and the Beatles, ambient music and punk, he fuses baroque beauty with minimalist rigour, classical orchestration with modern technology. His music, imbued with profound emotional intensity, has influenced numerous films, including Ari Folman’s Waltz with Bashir, Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island and James Gray’s Ad Astra. It also accompanies hit series such as The Crown, Peaky Blindersand The Last of Us. In 2024, he released In a Landscape, a new album in which he explores different polarities, between classical and electronic, the natural and the human, the universal and the intimate. Max Richter will perform this piece on stage, along with The Blue Notebooks, his 2004 album featuring the deeply moving “On the Nature of Daylight”.
