Since moving to London from Rome eleven years ago, Maria Chiara Argirò has been quietly making her way through the worlds of jazz, classical and electronic music. A pianist since the age of nine and a key player in the capital’s multinational jazz scene, she has lent her talents to indie band These New Puritans, lush jazz troupe Kinkajous and, more recently, collaborations with Jamie Leeming – their 2020 album Flow was nominated for one of the Jazz Revelations Awards’ albums of the year and was the Guardian’s jazz album of the month – and the duo Moonfish.
