‘Hermeto Champion’ is a novel about the extraordinary career of the brilliant musician Hermeto Pascoal. It begins in 1936 in a small village deep in the Brazilian Nordeste, and ends up on the world’s greatest jazz stages, including the Montreux Jazz Festival in July 1979.
