Godford is in the middle of that bridge, between innocent romantic and rave. They don’t want to choose between those two feelings. They’re hiding their face because they think their body isn’t reflecting who they really are. When they meet people in real, they feel they can express easily who they are but through a screen or any media they’re feeling uncomfortable.
