This Brazilian is revisiting a keystone work from his repertoire: Refavela. Released 40 years ago, this album is marked by African rhythms and the different styles discovered on his trip to Nigeria in 1976, when he met Fela Kuti. The themes also evoke Afro-Brazilian culture, especially on the piece “Patuscada de Gandhi”, which tells of a popular group at the Bahia Carnival. Returning to the Auditorium Stravinski two years after a moving duet with his friend Caetano Veloso, the singer will revisit the ten titles from Refavela, along with other songs he considers intimately linked to that work, including the Bob Marley classic “Exodus”. This singer with an enchanting voice will be accompanied by his son Bem Gil and other major guests to wrap up a 100% Brazilian evening!
