Mariano Gabriel Ringgenberg Carballo, known as DJ Xapa Kente, was born in Rio de Janeiro on September 2, 1986, to an Argentinian mother and Swiss father. He discovered music early through Afro-Brazilian spiritual songs. After playing drums in school bands in Switzerland, he began his DJ career at 16 under the name Mar-I Selecta in a reggae/dancehall soundsystem. Three years later, he shifted to Latin urban music and founded EasyClass Production in 2007, launching events like Latino Flavour (since 2008) and Dale Mas Duro (since 2012). As one of the leading Latin event promoters in Switzerland, he has performed in clubs across Europe and organized two successful events in Brazil in 2017. A fluent speaker of six languages, he blends genres like reggaeton, baile funk, bachata, kizomba, hip-hop, and party classics in his sets. Since 2017, he has also worked as an MC and singer, releasing tracks like Dale Mas Duro and Lie to me girl. In 2021, he collaborated with top Brazilian producer Papatinho on Festa Prive. For summer 2025, he is already booked for major festivals including Macumba (Amsterdam), Caliente (Zurich), and Lakelive (Biel/Bienne).
