The label ‘rapper’ is too restrictive for Disiz, formerly known as La Peste. Coming to prominence as a rapper in the 2000s with singles such as ‘J’pète les plombs’, Disiz has never failed to renew himself over the years. L’amour, his twelfth album, proves his artistic versatility. Released on his own label, SUBLIME, it has a poppier sound, and is the most introspective and intimate project of his career – a release in more ways than one. Like an alchemist, Disiz spent four years distilling and maturing every detail. The meticulous process paid off – the album went gold – boosted by the track ‘Rencontre’ featuring Damso.
