Hailing from Lisbon, Capitão Fausto are one of the most influential bands of their generation in Portugal’s music scene. Formed in 2009, the group has released five albums, including Subida Infinita (2024), a deeply personal record marked by the departure of Francisco Ferreira. The album features a collaboration with Tim Bernardes (Cantiga Infinita) and was co-produced with Diogo Rodrigues. Known for their evolution from the raw energy of Gazela (2011) to a more melodic and refined sound, Capitão Fausto blend creativity and emotion with each release. They also co-founded Cuca Monga, a label and artistic collective that’s become a key player in Portugal’s independent music landscape.
