BLAER’s music is quiet yet powerful. No sound is excessive here, everything has its place. Repetitive piano patterns and spherically floating saxophone lines define this jazz, reduced to the bare essentials. The Bernese quintet surrounding Maja Nydegger created their atmospheric debut seven years ago With their debut, BLAER was nominated as one of six young Swiss bands for the ZKB Jazz Prize in 2015. Since its formation, the band has been regularly touring in Switzerland and abroad and has thus become an integral part of the Swiss jazz scene. BLAER is currently on tour with their third album Yellow.
