A Tribute to the Music of Quincy Jones

There could be no other way to open this summer’s Festival: the legacy of the legendary Quincy Jones, who passed away last November, will be celebrated in a unique show led by Chaka Khan and featuring several special guests. A long-time friend of the Festival, the Chicago diva promises an electrifying evening that will revive the spirit of Quincy Jones’s legendary concerts at Montreux.

The concert brings together two iconic voices who have left an indelible mark on Quincy Jones’s discography. Chaka Khan collaborated with him on the album Masterjam and on some of his biggest hits, including “Stuff Like That” and “I’ll Be Good to You.” Siedah Garrett, meanwhile, sang on Quincy Jones’s album Back on the Block. She also performed the duet “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You” with Michael Jackson and co-wrote his hit “Man in the Mirror” — both produced by Quincy Jones.

On this exceptional evening, Chaka Khan will also invite several singers to join her on stage, including American Rahsaan Patterson , British singer Mica Paris, as well as Swiss artists Marc Sway and jan SEVEN dettwyler, who took part in Q’s shows at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
