Davinhor (her real name – a fusion of the first names of her parents, David and Hortense) is a child of exile. Born in the Congo, she arrived in France at the age of 3 – her father having fled after being imprisoned for his human rights stance. From an early age, Davinhor found herself bounced from one home to another alongside her eight brothers and sisters. Freewheeling, the teenager found an outlet in athletics. She runs to vent her rage. But the anger remains.
After wandering around the nightlife scene, Davinhor finally found her calling: rap, as if it were obvious. His outspokenness and insolence, once cumbersome, have become assets. The two producers, Les Daltonnes, grasped her potential as a hard-hitter. Endorsed by rapper Niska and his Planète Rap, her corrosive pen quickly struck a chord.
