Giorgoi Poi

Giorgio Poi is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer. After spending years in London and Berlin, he released his critically acclaimed debut Fa Niente (Bomba Dischi/Universal) in 2017. In 2018, he performed at Eurosonic and toured Europe. Phoenix, impressed by his music, invited him to open for them in Milan, Paris, and the United States. He has also collaborated with Frah Quintale (Missili), Carl Brave (Camel Blu), and played on Calcutta’s Evergreen album.

In 2019, his album Smog led to a sold-out tour. He composed for Luca Carboni (Prima di partire) and Franco126 (Stanza Singola, Multisala), and created the soundtrack for the Netflix series Summertime. In 2021, he unveiled his introspective third album, Gommapiuma. The following year, he collaborated with Rob & Jack Lahana on Haute saison, featuring a music video directed by Natalie Portman. In 2023, he released Chromosomic Avenue with León Larregui and performed in Mexico City, Paris, and at the Cinéma Paradiso Louvre Festival. 2024 marked his return with Tic Tac (feat. Muddy Monk) and an Asian tour.

He is now presenting his 4th album, SCHEGGE (Sony/Bomba Dischi), supervised by Laurent Brancowitz of Phoenix. Entirely written, played, and produced by Giorgio, the album transforms instability into movement. Le Monde calls it “an object that will delight lovers of Italian variety,” while FIP praises “Giorgio Poi’s subtle pop… one of the original voices of today’s scene”.
