Soa de Muse
Soa de Muse is a multidisciplinary artist (burlesque, theatre, contemporary dance) rooted in a militant universe of cabaret, drag culture, and Afrofuturism. Known as the first-ever Global Lip Sync Assassin and crowned Miss Peacemaker on RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars S01, she first made her mark as a finalist on Drag Race France S01, and later returned on All Stars France S01. After a notable stint at the legendary cabaret Madame Arthur and on the TV show Les Extravagantes, Soa has founded her own cabaret in Paris, La Bouche, which opened its doors in March 2022. At La Bouche Soa performs subversive shows every month alongside other iconic artists from the boiling Parisian queer scene. Trained in contemporary dance and theatre with choreographer Nina Santes, Soa de Muse also took part in the project Gay Guerilla under the artistic direction of Gerard & Kelly, with a first performance at the Centre Pompidou in Paris in 2023. At this occasion she was pointed out by The New York Times as “a drag performer of titanic presence”. She also created and directed her own show, Diaspora, which is an homage to Black excellence. The tour began on Réunion Island, followed by the Théâtre de la Croix-Rousse in Lyon in 2024, and will continue in 2026 at the Carreau du Temple in Paris. Soa de Muse is currently part of the cast of WOKE and Romancero Queer, the electrifying plays by Virginie Despentes, on tour in France.
