Peet
Peet is one of the leading figures of the new Belgian scene, and is gradually conquering France! A lyricist, singer, and beatmaker, he first made a name for himself within the group Le 77 before embarking on a solo career. His writing is unique, poetic, sensitive, and authentic.
He draws inspiration from personal stories that an entire generation can relate to, urban setbacks, and life experiences.
Project after project, he remains within the realm of urban music, yet he has refined a style nourished by very diverse influences and found his balance. With his upcoming album Joyboy (February 27, 2026), he returns to his love of instruments, delivering an even more personal, organic album, driven by an increasingly assertive musical sensibility.
It features round, jazzy sounds, imbued with soul and funk, but also a more pop and luminous aesthetic than before, which is also thanks to the talented musicians who have accompanied him for years.
At 32 years old, ten of which have been dedicated to rap, Peet confides: “I have evolved in my writing and I have learned to use my voice better”. The album title comes from One Piece. “I am a big fan of this manga. He is a character who comes to bring order to this world that isn’t doing well. I wouldn’t describe myself exactly like that. But he is someone who has gone through quite a few trials”. Literally “joyful boy,” Joyboy becomes a metaphor here: finding inner peace, keeping hope despite doubts, becoming an adult. Through these new tracks, Peet questions his doubts, explores his bonds with his loved ones, invites us on a journey, addresses the ups and downs of his life as an artist, and speaks of resilience. With total sincerity, his gaze turned towards the sky. Regarding live performances, he has traveled the stages of numerous renowned concert halls and festivals such as the Dour Festival, Les Ardentes, Sziget, the Francofolies de Spa, Couleur Café…. His last appearance in Paris was at La Cigale, in a packed venue that resulted in a filmed live album. From the very first bars, the audience is won over by the raw energy he releases with his live band, their generosity, and the emotion they share. 2026 promises to be full of potential with the highly anticipated release of Joyboy, an increasing number of concerts, and two flagship dates at the Olympia in Paris on 11/28/2026 and at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels on 11/06/2026!.
