There is a disarming playfulness in Sim’s wordplay that systematically sends the established order back to the drawing board. A living witness of a generation that has lost its bearings but is in search of reality, Sim’s keeps moving forward, always, against all odds. And you don’t need to be crude to make hard-hitting rap: the true vulgarity lies in injustice. Over the course of five albums and a 16-year career, he has gradually risen to the forefront of the music scene in the Jura region and then the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Spotted by Couleur 3 as early as 2012 and having collected numerous prizes and awards, Sim’s has also rocked many Swiss stages, including the Paléo Festival in Nyon, the Montreux Jazz Festival, Le Chant du Gros, Rock Oz’Arènes, the Francomanias in Bulle, and Festi’neuch, to name but a few.
